V's story in which the Arclight family is...actually a normal family, no one cares about revenge and Kaito is a famous duelist.
What? ಠ_ಠ
читать дальшеKaito appears on a channel that provides information about duels and duelists. The interviewer asks him to say some encouraging words now that the WDC is starting. Kaito says that he doesn't like interviews, but would like to use this opportunity to send a message to his mentor. He says that he will definitely win the WDC and prove that he doesn't lack anything as a duelist, so his mentor should enter the tournament too to see this with his own eyes. V is watching the interview and is amazed how gallant (/brave/manly) Kaito has become. III tells his brother to join the WDC and IV agrees too saying that Kaito has always been persistent, so it's better if he doesn't make him wait. V says okay and is glad that Kaito thought about what he told him about finding what he lacks.
V is looking for an opponent while thinking about how much time it will take to take care of low-level duelists because III and IV didn't enter the tournament. He's attacked by Orbital 7, but he ignores him and tries to walk away. Orbital 7 stops him and tells him that he's working for Kaito and wants to collect information about him. V notes that Kaito won't be happy if he does this and that he should ask Kaito to upgrade his system. After the duel V tells him to think about Kaito's feelings a bit more and that he's sure that Kaito will be angry if he does something unnecessary like this. Orbital 7 gets scared and runs away.
When Orbital 7 runs away Akari goes to V and tells him that he saw him dueling and is amazed by his strength. V tells her that he's Kaito's mentor and Akari quickly runs home to write an article. III, IV and Tron appear too and tell V that they were watching his duel, but were hiding because they didn't want to disturb him. Tron tells him that they are simply spectators, so he shouldn't pay too much attention to them, but V tells him that he'll be a bit nervous if they watch him while dueling. IV tells him that he should get used to it because there will be a lot of people watching the finals and Tron says that it's fun to see how lively V is, so he should give his best and beat Kaito.
He runs into Yuma next. He saw V in the news and is curious if it's true that he's Kaito's mentor. He says that he thinks of Kaito as his greatest rival and wants to see how strong his mentor is. V accepts the duel and when he wins he tells Yuma that although he's still inexperienced he sees a lot of possibilities in him. Yuma admits that he still has a long way to go if he wants to win against Kaito and V wonders why he isn't upset about losing. Yuma tells him that although he is frustrated, he thinks of Kaito as his friend, so he isn't too concerned about it. V is happy that Kaito made a friend even though he has so much pride and doesn't let people near him easily. The Arclight family comments on V's wonderful smile which is followed by V’s „OMG were you looking/listening the whole time?!” look.
V is impressed by how many kinds of duelists there are because he didn’t really step outside their mansion for a long time. Droite appears and asks him if he’s Kaito’s mentor. She says that she could use the „He who would the daughter win, with the mother must begin.” strategy, but V doesn’t get what she means by this (the Japanese equivalent is „If you wish to shoot the general, first shoot his horse.", so it isn't that obvious). She blushes and says that it’s nothing. When the duel ends, V tells Droite that if she wants to tell Kaito something she should do it herself instead of a roundabout way because it's a problem between the two of them. Droite admits that she was a coward, but isn't sure if she can do it. Despite that she goes in order to try to do something about it. IV wonders why V has such an unhappy face even though he won who tells him that although he is looking forward to meeting Kaito, he gets to learn a new face of his every time he duels someone which makes him realise how much time has passed, so he feels a bit lonely. Tron notes that it's surprising to see V become this emotional.
V's first opponent is Gauche who is ready to get revenge on him. V doesn't even know who he is, so he doesn't understand what he's talking about. Gauche tells him that he's talking about Droite and starts the duel. When the duel ends, V acknowledges Gauche's skills and they shake hands. Gauche wonders if V said something to Droite because she's looking at Kaito from far away while fidgeting which isn't like her, so he doesn't know what to do. V laughs a bit saying "I see." and asks Gauche too watch over her for now because it's critical time for her as she is trying to face her own feelings. Tron notes that it looks like V has become his old self again.
His second opponent is Yamikawa. Yamikawa tells him that he heard that he is Kaito's mentor who came this far because he challenged him. He says that has a mentor too, but it's been a while since he last met him because he went on a journey and that he went against him once, so he's in the middle of a training to change his own heart. After the duel V tells him that he's looking forward to another duel with him.
The last duel is against Kaito who tells him that there wasn't a day when he didn't think about the time when V told him that he lacks something, so he will prove that he has become the perfect duelist now. After the duel V tell Kaito that he still lacks something and when he asks what, Yuma, Kotori, Tetsuo and Todoroki appear and are very worried about him. Kaito gets angry telling them to get lost because he doesn't need them. V says that this is exactly what he lacks as he only cares about Haruto and doesn't accept anyone else. He tells Kaito to look at his surroundings properly because his duel has influenced many people and to accept those who are trying to get closer to him. Yuma tells Kaito that although he considers him his rival he thinks of him as a precious friend and Tetsuo, Kotori and Todoroki say that they want to become Kaito's friends too. This is when Orbital 7 appears and is worried about Kaito. Kaito apologises to him because he didn't think about his feelings. V is glad that Kaito understood what he told him and Kaito says that he has learned how great it is to have a mentor today. V tells him that he's grateful to Kaito because thanks to this duel he realised that even he lacks something as well because he lived in a closed off world.
In the ending Kaito tells V that he's glad to have a mentor like him, but V answers that he thinks of him like a little brother instead of a student. V thinks of him that same way Kaito thinks of Haruto, so Kaito is shocked that he couldn't even notice the strongest bond that exists.
Other notes:
-V loves to use difficult words.
-III, IV and Tron follow V everywhere and comment on all of his duels except for the last one.
-V's deck is one of the worse ones in the game. You're more or less screwed if you can't summon/use one of your Xyz monsters because your other monsters have a really low ATK. Even if you have, let's say, Dyson Sphere on the field it might take several turns until you can cause some damage to your opponent's LP because like 2/3 of the cards in your deck are magic/trap cards and it can take some time to draw a monster. Also, to be honest Tannhauser Gate did more trouble than it helped because I always drew it when I didn't need it (it especially loved me when I was in a pinch and needed a monster or a card to destroy my opponents monsters).
-Yamikawa was a nightmare to beat using V's deck.

Вот полностью согласна! *.* Вместо того, чтобы тупо перенести сюжет аниме в игру, они его переработали, ещё и каждому персонажу свою историю придумали!
