- maybe the barian pendant actually is a family artifact and it’s the possessor’s Duty to side with the barians so they become a reluctant villain but they are anguished and conflicted about it
- shark and rio are actually a scientific experiment in which barian beings were incarnated into human bodies oh no
- the holder contracts with an evil barian door like yuma contracted with the evil zexal door but then shit gets all madoka magica on us
