The way she collects the Numbers is a bit similar to Kaito - she takes the souls too. During her story she meets people who fight for their own loved ones and might even beg to spare them, but she always answers something along the lines of “I’m sorry, but there’s someone important to me too. Your circumstances have nothing to do with me.” She takes the souls of Yamikawa, Charlie, Fuuya and even Yuma who begs her to at least leave No. 39 with him, but she doesn’t listen to him (it’s unknown what happens to Astral, but he was worried that he would disappear). The last duel is against Tron who asks her why she goes so far and she answers that it’s for the person she loves. After winning Tron asks Droite if she really thinks she can save Kaito this way, but Droite says: "When I lost my dreams and hope, Kaito taught me the strength to protect someone. That was the time when I decided that just like Kaito protects Haruto I will protect Kaito. Even if I have to sacrifice everything I won’t rely on anyone. Even if difficulties await just like you said, I will stake my life to to protect Kaito from any danger."
Tron finds this interesting and wishes he could see what will happen, but he’s out of time (he probably disappears here). Droite goes to meet Kaito and gives him the Numbers, but Kaito is pretty cold towards her and goes to continue his work. The story ends with Droite saying: "I knew this from the beginning. Also, I’m not doing this to get anything in return…Yes, it’s good the way it is. Kaito…your smile is for Haruto. However, that smile looked very sad to me…That’s why I was sad when I saw it. I want to get your real smile back. Even if that smile isn’t directed at me…I will protect you until the day you get your real smile back.
