читать дальшеThe story starts with Tron talking with his sons about their mission to get revenge on Faker (and to get Mr. Heartland out of the way because he works for Faker). His sons say that they will help him.
Tron’s first opponent is Orbital 7. They get into a small argument because Tron can’t believe that a robot like him can be a duelist and he is annoyed by the way he talks as well calling him junk. Of course Orbital 7 gets angry and they start the duel. When it’s over, Orbital 7 runs away mentioning Kaito’s name, so Tron wonders if he’s somehow connected to him. At the same time in the Heartland Tower Kaito is worrying about Haruto. He asks Mr. Heartland if his brother will really be cured if he collects the Numbers. He answers that of course he will and that it’s the only way to say him.
Tron meets Gauche next. He wonders if Gauche has left his work because he betrayed Faker and says that it’s no wonder as a skilled duelist like him shouldn’t work for such a nobody. Gauche gets angry at him because he doesn’t like that Tron bad-mouths his previous boss. When Gauche loses Tron takes away his emotions and says that it isn’t delicious at all because it’s unrefined and ferocious.
In the 3rd event Tron goes home and notices that something isn’t okay because III and V are sad. It turns out that IV lost in a duel against Shark which means that he lost all of his Heart Pieces. Tron says he will take care of him, so his other sons should stay out of it. He goes to meet IV who has already been waiting for him. Tron tells IV that he is of no use anymore, so he will finish him off with his own hands. IV says that although he was expecting that this would happen he didn’t think Tron would really do it. After the duel IV says that it’s a shame that they couldn’t understand each other until the end and Tron takes away his emotions. He says:
"What’s this? It’s strangely bitter…I don’t know how to describe this feeling. I attacked my own family…Wait, so what? I don’t have any emotions. I don’t feel anything about attacking IV. I decided that I would give my all to defeat Dr. Faker. Then why do I always stop? I simply threw away a pawn I didn’t need anymore. This is stupid. The only thing that matters is reaching my goal. I don’t care about anything else. That’s what I decided, but… ………"
On the day of the tournament Tron meets Kaito and tells him that he expected Faker’s son to come this far. He notes that probably the two of them will be the ones dueling in the finals (this isn’t possible as they are in the same block, but whatever), so they should just duel right now. Droite shows up telling him that she knows that Tron was the one who did that to Gauche and that he should focus on her because she’s his first opponent. She loses, Tron takes away her emotions and tells her that love isn’t delicious. Kaito gets angry and wants to duel him, but Mr.Heartland tells them that they shouldn’t break the rules.
Meanwhile, Orbital 7 decides to check if everything is okay with Haruto while Kaito isn’t there when Haruto suddenly starts screaming while releasing energy from his body. Mr. Heartland is really happy because this damages the Astral world. Orbital 7 asks him what he’s doing right away and realises that the Tenjou brother are used by him. Faker appears as well and Orbital 7 tells him what happened and wants to go to let Kaito know this too. Faker’s like “What?! Is that so? That’s terrible!”, then tells Oribital 7 that Kaito is in the room and while the robot is looking around he switches him off.
Tron’s second opponent is Yuma who actually managed to beat Kaito. Since Yuma is carefree he decides to make him angry by telling him that he’s the mastermind behind the whole incident with Shark and his sister (he also mentions that he has already got rid of IV because he didn’t need him anymore). Yuma gets angry just like he expected, but notes that he can’t feel angry, so his heart must really be dead. For some reason he doesn’t take Yuma’s emotions.
The last event is a bit different from the stories I’ve played so far. Orbital 7 somehow wakes up and finds Mr. Heartland in the room. He asks if it was a lie that Haruto could be cured by getting all of the Numbers and Mr. Heartland says that although he might be cured there’s no guarantee. Then, Orbital 7 asks why he created the WDC and Mr. Heartland tells him that he and Faker are working together. He also tells him about the Sphere Field Cannon they want to use to destroy the Astral world which uses the participating duelists as a bullet and Haruto as a trigger. Hearing this Orbital 7 gets angry and uses electric shock to knock out Mr. Heartland…which accidentally causes the SFC to malfunction and start.
The duelists are waiting for Mr. Heartland to appear so that the finals can start. Tron wants to start without him, but Kaito hears strange noises and the earth is shaking too. Orbital 7 appears and explains what happened. Kaito decides to go where the SFC is and Tron follows him saying that it would be troublesome if something happened to Faker before he could get revenge on him. When they reach the place where the SFC is they run into Faker. Tron says that Kaito should go and stop the cannon as he has some business with Faker. Faker wants to do everything to stop Kaito from stopping the SFC and we get some back story about Faker and Tron when the former betrayed the latter (it’s the same as in the anime). After losing, Faker mumbles that he has to do everything to save Haruto which pikes Tron’s interest and asks Faker to tell him the truth. Faker tells him that did all that to save his son and that he made a contract with the Barians who controlled him. The conversation continues like this:
Tron: They [yes, it’s plural] took over your body? Then do you mean that you didn’t advance your plan this far by your own will? Do you want to say “So please forgive me!” by this?!
Faker: No, I was the one who made the deal with the Barians. It true that I was controlled, but my sins are grave. I should be judged. I have no intention to ask you to forgive me. However…I have to protect Haruto, my son! If I don’t follow the plan, the Barians will come and kill him. I have to prevent that no matter what. Before that I have to destroy the Astral world…!
Tron: You made me suffer so long yet you want to tell me that your motive was this boring? A story that’s asking people to cry? The reason you did it wasn’t because you were crazy or wanted to gain fame or profit. It wasn’t even because you felt anger or hatred towards me or Kazuma. Do you want to say that you did it as a father who wanted to save his son…?
Faker: You can despise me all yo want. It’s only natural you would do that.
Tron: So this is the truth I got after both my body and heart were eaten up by hatred…
Faker: Wait, Byron! Why aren’t you trying to give me a punishment? Why Byron? Why?!
Tron: …Your sins are already grave enough. The punishment I give you is that I don’t punish you.
Tron goes away and we get a scene with the Arclight brothers. IV wakes up and says that he had a dream of the time when their family still lived happily together. III and V tell him about Tron and the brothers decide to go look for their father wherever he may be. In the ending Tron says that Kaito managed to stop the SFC and the Astral world was saved. He thinks that it’s the Tenjou family’s problem to get rid of the assassins from the Barian world. Lastly he notes that he was only left with a body he can’t get used to and barely any emotions as the result of letting hatred take over his body and going on a rampage acting like there’s no tomorrow. He goes on a journey following the wind.
